Aritu baru tengok movie ni...rasanya tak keluar kat panggung wayang...(actually asalnya TV series tapi digabung dalam 1 dvd menjadi versi movie)...kalau minat game Street Fighter, mmg kena tengok movie ni...mmg ikut sebijik karakter dalam game tu...bukan mcm filem Street Fighter Hollywood yang dulu2 tu...yang tu mmg failed terus...yang ni mmg sangat jauh kualitinya...terbaik!!!

Cerita Assassin's Fist ni banyak berkisar tentang Ryu dan Ken...serta gurunya, Goken...selain explore pasal diorg ni, filem ni jgk explain mcmana rakan seperguruan Goken iaitu Goki boleh menjadi musuh utama diorang iaitu Akuma...memang smart abis scene training, fighting and kemunculan Akuma...gaya fighting memang sama seperti dalam game...begitu juga la dengan pakaian bagi semua watak2 yang ada...sinematografi jugak amat baik...semua watak diperjelaskan satu persatu so penonton boleh faham tentang watak utama dalam movie ni...dan bagaimana 'dark art' yg dikenali sebagai 'satsui no hado' dalam seni mempertahankan diri yang diorg belajar iaitu Ansatsuken boleh menguasai diri org yg mengamalkannya...

Movie ni durasinya 120 minit...part 2 akan menyusul nanti...

So far, mmg puas hati la menontonnya especially bagi peminat tegar game Street Fighter...

Movie: Life of Pi

Dah lama tak beli dvd. Asik ulang-ulang tengok citer yang ada je kat rumah. Dah macam channel Astro plak sebab asik dok ulang movie yang sama banyak kali. Balik-balik movie tu. Balik-balik movie ni. Boring. So, memang dah sampai masa kena cari stok movie yang baru...sebab memang ada movie yang tak tengok lagi. So, 2 hari lepas, singgah la kat kedai dvd nearby the house and looked for good movies that is worth to watch.

Well, rupanya tak banyak movie baru (movie gred A list yang best) yang boleh dibeli. Then suddenly terpandang satu movie ni: Life of Pi. Life of Pi ni adalah American 3D live-action/computer-animated adventure drama film tahun 2012 yang diadaptasi daripada novel oleh penulis Yann Martel pada tahun 2001 dengan tajuk yang sama.

Sebelum ni tak tertarik langsung nak tengok movie ni even dah dengar banyak good review about it and selain dah banyak cecah tahap box-office kat pelbagai negara, this movie pun berjaya menang 4 award (daripada 11 nominations) semasa berlangsungnya the 85th Academy Awards – the Oscar Awards 2013 iaitu Best Direction, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.

So, i think i should watch it.

Pi's father named him Piscine Molitor after a swimming pool in France. As a child he changed his name to "Pi" (the mathematical symbol, π) because he was tired of being called "Pissing Patel". When Pi is 16, his father decides to move the family to Winnipeg, Canada, where he intends to settle and sell the zoo animals that he has. They book passage on a Japanese freighter named Tzimtzum. One night there is a storm; the ship begins to founder while Pi is on deck. He tries to find his family, but a crew member throws him into a lifeboat. Just as the ship falls into the sea, a freed zebra leaps from the ship to land on the boat with him. Pi then watches helplessly as the ship sinks, killing his family and the crew. Also with him is a hyena, and an orangutan.

Pi, who survives the shipwreck in which his family dies is finally stranded in the Pacific Ocean on the lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker. Then his journey and adventure for survival begins.

What can i say...Movie ni terbukti memang best untuk ditonton. You will enjoy it dari mula lagi iaitu dari saat karakter Pi diperkenalkan (sejak beliau masih kecil dan tinggal bersama keluarga dan kenal pelbagai jenis agama: Hindu, Kristian dan Islam) hinggalah beliau kehilangan keluarga dan terpaksa mengharungi 227 hari untuk survive dalam bot penyelamat bersama-sama dengan seekor harimau. Macamana harimau tu boleh dapat nama Richard Parker? kena tengok sendiri lah untuk tau...(kalau nak search kat Google pun boleh je sebanrnya...)

Selain daripada adventure and CGI yang cantik, it also explores issues of spirituality and practicality. So, sesiapa yang belum tengok lagi movie ni, sila la beli dvd and tengok sendiri to witness it. Highly recommended.

Dominic plak dah kapel dengan polis howt dalam Fast 5) selain disertai oleh Gina Carano sebagai salah sorang member team Hobbs & pelakon Indonesia Joe Taslim (the Raid Redemption) sebagai salah seorang geng penjahat yang terer dalam martial arts.

Sadly, the hot & beautiful Eva Mendes yang muncul secara cameo sbg Monica Fuentes dalam Fast 5 takde plak dalam movie kali ni. (Pada credit scene lepas habis movie Fast 5 ada tunjuk sedikit adegan Agent Monica and Hobbs. Sila check kalau tak perasan.)

Surely this is a movie that is not to be missed!!!

Movie: Cloud Atlas

After leaving Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya, had to go somewhere other than heading back home. Tetiba teringat pasal movie Cloud Atlas. Macam dah ada kat cinema sekarang ni. Lagipun, I've read so many things about this movie. So, check website GSC and TGV...kat mana yang ada and nearby so tak payah drive jejauh. Nak drive ke KL pun malas time demam-demam ni.

So, the nearest: TGV AEON Cheras Selatan in Balakong.  GSC Alamanda belum tayang lagi. Traffic was smooth so in 15 mins dah sampai ke AEON. Available show was at 11.00pm. Jam baru kul 9.00pm so sempat lagi ni. Still banyak seat available. Ramai orang kat sini but mostly datang sebab nak tengok Chinese movies.

Selepas berjaya beli tiket (queue tak panjang pun), terus menghala ke Starbucks...bukan nak minum kat situ tapi nak charge telefon. Bila dok tulis blog (loading gambar etc) guna phone, banyak plak guna power battery so kena la charge balik. Duduk selamba dendiam je kat meja sebelah luar starbucks ni without buying anything. Elok plak ada mug atas meja from previous customer so just pretend ajelah the mug belongs to me.  Sedikit sinopsis movie Cloud Atlas ni:

Based on the novel by David Mitchell, Cloud Atlas is the latest film from the Wachowski siblings and Tom Tykwer, spanning fom the 19th century to the distant future, taking in the joys of a 1970s thriller and a present day farce along the way.

It tells the story of a succession of interconnected individuals, some connected through a comet shaped birthmark, others through physical manifestations left behind by others. In the film we flit between each, with each actor donning bewildering prosthetics to play a number of roles. For example Hugh grant plays a slaver, an unscrupulous nuclear energy boss, a vengeful businessman and yes, believe it or not a bloodthirsty canibal. It’s a beautifully directed and designed film, with all the visual style and skill you would expect from messers Wachowski and Tykwer.

As they move backwards and forwards through the stories, like the chords of the story's Cloud Atlas sextet, they sweep majestically and gracefully through time and space. Disorientating as that may seem, the film never loses focus, as the directors intertwine the fates of those who purvey it with such grace, it's hard not to be swept up in its visual majesty. It’s without doubt the most visually rich film so far this year, and will take some beating artistically to scale the heights that the directors have here. Quibbles aside, Cloud Atlas can still stake its claim as this year's most visually stirring film, almost magical in its imagery and settings, and will give plenty of food for thought for all after the credits have rolled.

According to IMDB, movie ni dapat 8 out of 10. Means, memang wajib tonton lah tu. The movies takes about 2 jam 52 min and memang silap besar tak bawak sweater bila tengok movie ni. Dok tahan sejuk ajelah  dalam panggung.

Overall, movie ni best...sebab keunikan jalan ceritanya yang melibatkan connection antara pelbagai watak pada zaman & dunia yang berbeza. An epic journey through time and space. It is funny to see some actors had to be transformed to look like Korean. Nampak weird. When u watch this movie, u will know exactly what i mean about this.

Dalam Cloud Atlas, Ben Whishaw (as Q in James Bond: Skyfall) jugak berjaya menghidupkan watak sepertimana watak yang dibawanya dalam filem Perfume. (I think everybody should watch this movie. I can guarantee Perfume is one of the best. I have one, indeed). Salah seorang pengarah Cloud Atlas iaitu Tom Tykwer adalah pengarah bagi movie Perfume.

Since the movie has many different time, story to tell, the scenes will change from one to another. So, it is important to stay focus on every story that it has. That's also why it takes 2 hrs 52 mins to finish. Tu pun ada sikit scene yang kena potong (Hmm...?? Carik dvd nanti kalau nak tau kenapa scene tu dipotong).

Dari kul 11.05pm movie ni start, kul 1.45am baru abis. Bila keluar panggung, ramai yang jalan dah tak berapa nak betul (especially me) sambil pakat-pakat menguap time beratur nak bayar tiket..huhu...

Sesiapa yang berniat nak tengok movie ni, please do so....Happy viewing and please remember to stay focus all the time...pergi toilet siap-siap sblm movie start & jangan terlelap plak...kalau tak nanti kelaut la jadinya....

*off to Al-Azwath nak pekena maggi goreng ayam & teh tarik sedap...lapar pulak pagi-pagi buta ni.

Movie: Beautiful Creatures

Finally its here..today is the opening day for this movie. This is another romantic fantasy film that is an adaptation or based on a novel of the same name. The film is directed by Richard LaGravenese and stars Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert.

What so good bout this movie is, not only it is better than the Twilight but it combines humor in every scenes it has. Another good movie to watch and will make u laugh like you are having a good time even when you are not. 

Plot Summary:

A supernatural love story set in the South, "Beautiful Creatures" tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.

Lena is a Caster (witch) who comes back to her old town before she turns 16. Suddenly, she meets Ethan at school and falls in love with each other. However, her uncle disapproves the relationship for a reason. Lena confesses to Ethan that she and her family are Casters, who are capable of performing a variety of magical spells such as changing the weather and illusion casting. 

On her 16th birthday, Lena's true nature will steer her towards either the light (good) or the dark (evil) and Lena fears being consumed by evil and hurting those she loves. Ethan insists she is responsible for her own choices and that regardless of her insecurities she is a good person.

Matters are complicated by the arrival of two immensely powerful dark casters who aim to push Lena to the dark: Ridley, Lena's provocative cousin/childhood friend and Sarafine, Lena's mother, who has possessed Mrs. Lincoln, and foresees Lena becoming a more powerful caster than her. 

p/s: hero movie ni, Ethan takde la hensem sangat macam hero dalam movies lain but slowly he will be appreciated and accepted...Ethan is a funny, caring and loving character that supports Lena in facing the challenges.
