Finally its here..today is the opening day for this movie. This is another romantic fantasy film that is an adaptation or based on a novel of the same name. The film is directed by Richard LaGravenese and stars Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert.
What so good bout this movie is, not only it is better than the Twilight but it combines humor in every scenes it has. Another good movie to watch and will make u laugh like you are having a good time even when you are not.
Plot Summary:
A supernatural love story set in the South, "Beautiful Creatures" tells the tale of two star-crossed lovers: Ethan (Alden Ehrenreich), a young man longing to escape his small town, and Lena (Alice Englert), a mysterious new girl. Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.
Lena is a Caster (witch) who comes back to her old town before she turns 16. Suddenly, she meets Ethan at school and falls in love with each other. However, her uncle disapproves the relationship for a reason. Lena confesses to Ethan that she and her family are Casters, who are capable of performing a variety of magical spells such as changing the weather and illusion casting.
On her 16th birthday, Lena's true nature will steer her towards either the light (good) or the dark (evil) and Lena fears being consumed by evil and hurting those she loves. Ethan insists she is responsible for her own choices and that regardless of her insecurities she is a good person.
Matters are complicated by the arrival of two immensely powerful dark casters who aim to push Lena to the dark: Ridley, Lena's provocative cousin/childhood friend and Sarafine, Lena's mother, who has possessed Mrs. Lincoln, and foresees Lena becoming a more powerful caster than her.
p/s: hero movie ni, Ethan takde la hensem sangat macam hero dalam movies lain but slowly he will be appreciated and accepted...Ethan is a funny, caring and loving character that supports Lena in facing the challenges.
